Train. Race. Report.
Swedish Club Relay Champs
Unfortunately I'm not doing the Swedish Club Relay Champs this year as I'm concentrating on getting fitter ready for 2010...
Come OMM! Final training is looming...
The Original Mountain Marathon is only 15 days away now. Final long runs will be crucial to give us the best advantage to take the top spots at the weekend...
I've got a brand new combine harvester
A maize maze might not sound that exciting, but add a map and running at flat out speeds and you've got a brilliant idea for a saturday afternoon (and night!).
2 weeks to Go to the JK09!
With less than a week to go who will make the top spot at the JK this year?
Jamie Stevenson Retires from International Orienteering
There's not really much more to say that hasn't already been said about Jamie Stevenson. Legend. He's been there and done it for Team GB.
CheapTents.com give GG a grilling...
After his amazing performances at the British championships this weekend, Graham has given an interview to the Blog @ cheaptents.com, yes I know, cheaptents.com... sounds strange but it's a great atricle about GG and orienteering in general.
Gristwood and Rollins on top of the podium again
Graham Gristwood and Sarah Rollins dominate the first few orienteering races in the British calendar. He has started this season like a rocket and has dominated all races so far.
Internationally Runnable Woodlands
The JOK Chasing sprint has always been an iconic event in the British Calendar, made more famous over the last few years due to its inclusion into the Future Champions Cup and the UK Cup Events.
Snow, Snow Snow...
With Britain having some snow that's causing silly problems for people driving and travelling... Orienteering dobs are the best types of shoes to run in on ice!...Sporting my new Forerunner I decided to go for a run around the East Midlands Champs course at Clumber Park. Great runnable forest (apart from the bits of brambles)...
Tankersley as mapped by Mr Neil Northrop
Tankersley Event - The terrain is more like that of Belgium/Denmark than the UK, circular large depressions remeniscant of bombing scars/mining which has left this area very complex in some areas and very runnable.
